We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Treetops Hospice, set up to enable businesses and individuals to do their bit to help both the environment and the leading local charity.
By planting ‘Trees for Treetops’ in our fast-growing woodland through the joint initiative, customers and clients can not only offset their carbon emissions and reduce their carbon footprint, but for each hardy silver birch tree planted Co-Treetment will be donating half of the proceeds to Treetops.
Treetops Hospice is a fantastic well-known local charity operating across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire that is very close to our hearts. The organisation provides nursing care and emotional support for adults with life-limiting conditions and those who’ve been bereaved.
The initiative is open to businesses regardless of size as well as individuals dedicating wonderful memorial trees to a lost loved one, where we also offer the opportunity to add a commemorative plaque to personalise the loved one’s planting area.
Our Director Darrell Taylor has been speaking to Derbyshire Telegraph, Marketing Derby, BBC Radio Derby and more to release details of the joint initiative. Discussing the scheme and the inspiration behind Co-Treetment, he said:
“The trees we plant not only reduce emissions and our customers’ carbon footprints but also provide habitat for wildlife. We’ve had various wildlife visiting our woodland recently, with their tracks weaving through our trees – and the difference we’re making is all thanks to our supporters.
“We have some fantastic supporters, from businesses across sizes and sectors to individuals who want to do their bit. And now by planting ‘Trees for Treetops’ with us, our customers can not only support their local environment but a wonderful local organisation too.
“Treetops is a well-respected charity and I have friends who have benefited from their incredible care and services; it seems quite fitting that we should have this new supporter-partnership with a charity whose logo is a tree.”
Treetops’ Business Relationships Manager, Stacey Smalley said:
“We are delighted to be supported by Co-Treetment and work with Darrell. Together we are helping businesses and individuals look after their environment and at the same time, supporting people in our local community.”
“The importance for us all to become more eco-friendly is growing and this partnership with Treetops has benefits for everyone.”
