Friday 5th December 2025 will certainly go down as one of our best days at Co-Treetment as we were so fortunate to have a collection of wonderful people joining us at our field to help in planting a magnificent 750 trees. That means in total we now have 7,250 in the ground, near Thringstone, Leicestershire.
We were delighted to welcome lots of people, 35 in all from our customer pool including:-

We started reasonably early in the morning, meeting at the pub THE GEORGE AND DRAGON (THRINGSTONE) LIMITED. A chance for the eclectic mix of people from these different companies and agencies to meet up, chat and share their mix of exuberance and fear about what the next three hours would bring.
As we made our way to the field, we were delighted to see such wonderful enthusiasm for the work that lay ahead. Everybody without fail worked hard from the moment they set onto the field (after the safety briefing and instructions along with a planting demonstration), and low and behold just shy of two and a half hours later we had 750 new silver birch trees occupying the field, looking great.
Thanks to our customers for being such great sports and getting stuck in with the planting, going above and beyond. We were amazed at the proficiency of the different teams, the fun they were having, and the excitement they obtained from planting.
From chatting with attendees the overriding consensus of the comments were about how fantastic it was to be out in the open, with peace and quiet, no phones or emails, just connecting face to face, getting organised, seeing the outcomes of their inputs and generating new friendships whilst supplementing existing ones.
We are so lucky to have such wonderful customers that totally understand the importance of getting involved in their sustainability journeys, making it happen through investing their time, people and money in the activity.
