Firstly from all of us at Co-Treetment we’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year for 2026, and that it all goes well for you all, in business and your personal lives.
As it is the beginning of 2026, it seemed apt to provide a summary of our main achievements in 2025, something we have done over the last few years. We believe in providing these overviews, partly because it shows to everyone what we do in our Not For Profit, without employees, without buildings, but with fantastic customers and a passion to do good for our planet.
Of course it also provides information about Co-Treetment that others might want to emulate, we’d love that if others did, and gives a platform for feedback on what we are doing. Remember we are quite new to this, 2019 isn’t that long ago, and there is expertise out there from more knowledgeable folks than us.
So here goes:-
Added an additional 1,250 trees to our forest for our customers.
Retained our status as Carbon Negative company
Continued with our Ecosystem of 5 bee-hives which are managed by Lisa McKenzie and David, The Bee Farmer, McDowell.
Donated via our customers Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre tree purchase option £2,285 (£4,830 in total since the project’s inception).
Further developed the joint ally partnership with UGANDA ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATIONISTS ORGANIZATION (UECO); planting 373 trees (including banana and fruit), visiting several schools and meeting 715 people. Also 5 bee hives were set up and the UECO demonstration farm.
Created an educational programme in Africa with Tricia Jewett called Design Environment 40LLC where we will deliver the programmes using our partnership with UGANDA ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATIONISTS ORGANIZATION (UECO).
Held planting sessions with BOAL Extrusion UK, Choice Associates Ltd Cosmetic White Smiles, Cosy Direct, Document Network Services Limited Environmental Agency and Gravity Digital teams.
With 7,750 trees now planted the forest has absorbed an estimated 193,750 kg of CO2 from the atmosphere in 2025.
These achievements are due to our fantastic customers (see the last page of our summary), our beekeepers, our allies in Uganda and the USA and a mindset of whilst we can’t fix everything, we definitely can make a positive contribution to fix some things.
Thank you everyone for helping us in putting the #planetbeforeprofit
