And here we are; already at post 3, following the ones from 9th March and 4th April. It’s all with gratitude to Lisa McKenzie who is keeping the Co-Treetment team updated from her visits to the field in Thringstone, where our apiary resides.
In this update it is a carry over from the second video from 21st March 2025, and goes into some more detail about what is happening in the hives.
So this our third post of 2025, we once again talk about the beauty of bees, how they are doing, and what the future for our apiary is. We are so excited!
After the successful year for the 2024-2025 with David, The Bee Farmer, McDowell, and Lisa McKenzie, where we produced many hundreds of jars of honey we have decided to keep those that are interested up to date on our bee journey.
So with a beautiful day in March, we can see in this our third video our first DRONE bee emerging, and at about 14 seconds into the video you will see him, right in the centre of the video. You’ll recognise him as he emerges from a much more protruding cell. Why? Well because the drones are bigger, they naturally need a bigger cell.
He also has much bigger eyes; he’s being encouraged out by his sisters. So we have the set; worker bees (female), and drone bees (male).
We find it very interesting, and hopefully you will as well.
For those wanting to learn more about bees then don’t hesitate to contact David, The Bee Farmer, McDowell using the details on the website link https://lnkd.in/eGD4fXrX and if you’d like to see more about Co-Treetment then use the link here https://lnkd.in/eqa4BEbX
And if you have liked what we have posted, then watch out for further updates which we’ll aim to post out regularly.
