During this last week it has been great to be able to visit our field and view the fruits of our labours over the last couple of years. As you know we, (that’s Simon Evans, Darrell Taylor and Keith Cox) began our adventure back in late 2019, acquiring the land we needed to enable us to start the initial layout for the future forest that we had planned.
Now that our customer base is building, both from individuals and commercial enterprises we are really beginning to see the difference that’s being made.
Co-Treetment deliberately leave the field in its’ natural condition, tending only to the surrounding perimeter lines of the three areas of woodland that we have planted and in doing so we have a much richer diverse range of insects, flowers and wildlife.
As you also know from previous updates, nobody involved with Co-Treetment takes a wage, dividend, or payment for what we do; it is done because we firmly believe that it’s more important to make a difference than to make a buck or two. So our time in the forest is because we want to do it, and on a wider picture we need to do it. Absorbing CO2 and growing trees is a very simple way of making our world, the planet we all live on a better place.
And so to the work element, we have during this week tidied around, took stock of what we need for next planting season (Nov – March); laid down the areas for existing customers plans and set aside land for new customers that we are expecting to join us. The field, the trees and areas are visible for all to see in the photographs that we have included in this post.
We hope you’ll take a few minutes to read our share and consider the steps you as an individual are making to change the future for the next generations. If you feel like helping us to make a difference then please visit our site and order some trees, it is simple and an effective way to help us in planning the future for the field and in putting #PlanetBeforeProfit
